About our Honorary Chair
We're delighted to announce the Kansas Alpha Pi Beta Phi 150th Anniversary Honorary Chair is Kay Rathbone Johnson ('58). Kay and her late husband, KU star athlete and Athletics Director Monte Johnson, were tireless supporters and enthusiastic fundraisers for Kansas Alpha's last major renovation project. Kay has been a lifelong supporter of the Kansas Alpha Pi Phi Chapter.
You could say Kay's Kansas Alpha Pi Phi legacy runs in the family. Kay's daughter, Jackie Johnson ('82), is a Kansas Alpha Pi Phi alumna, as are Kay's granddaughters, Jordan Ferguson Lisher ('04) and Hilary Ferguson Postlethwaite ('08).
Thank you, Kay, for being an example of lifelong membership in Pi Beta Phi and a true Pi Phi angel.

About our Committee
The Kansas Alpha 150th Anniversary Steering Committee has been meeting since summer of 2021, alternating monthly meetings at both the chapter house and locations in Kansas City. The group represents not only Kansas Association of Pi Beta Phi (House Corporation), but we also have representatives from AAC and the Pi Phi Educational Foundation. The committee includes former Chapter Presidents, current and former alumnae club Presidents, former national fraternity officers, a former Pi Phi Foundation President and both of the Kansas Alpha 125th Anniversary co-chairs. Add to that a professional event producer and one recently retired military officer straight from the Pentagon, and you can understand that we are planners!
